There are two different ways to cheat in the game, but let’s dive into the most common way first. In order to cheat on The Sims 4 on PC, all you need to do is press CTRL-SHIFT-C. Once you have entered that combo, a text window will open up in the top left corner of the screen.
You will need to type the cheats from our list into the box and press Enter. If you prefer to play The Sims 4 on Xbox One or PlayStation 4, you will have to hold down all four shoulder buttons (L1, L2, R1, R2) at the same time to open up the window. Keep in mind that if you activate cheats in the console, you will have to give up earning achievements and trophies.
The Sims 4 ‘Testingcheats true’
The second way to cheat in The Sims 4 is by entering the phrase “testingcheats true” into the Sims 4 cheat console. This will enable you to execute other cheat codes that require you to shift-click on certain in-game objects or Sims. Note that the game will automatically set “testingcheats true” back to “testingcheats false” if you travel to another location or lot—so you’ll have to re-enable the cheats once you’re back at home.
