Accessibility

Video Games for All

At Game Gavel, we take pride in offering products and services in an industry that champions accessibility and inclusion. In the words of The AbleGamers Charity, โ€œImagine a world where your disability does not define who you are, where you can be anything you want to be. That is what video games allow for people with disabilities, to be anything, to run, jump, and fly. Here are the latest successes.โ€

Our organization is committed to bringing an accessible mentality to every aspect of our offerings. Our website is designed to be as accessible as possible. Accessibility involves a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological impairments and we are committed to offering access to all groups that are interested in our content.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines covers a wide range of recommendations for making web content more accessible. These are the guidelines we abide by to offer an accessible experience to our users.

Steps and Processes

To start as an accessible organization and remain accessible without overcomplicating the process, we have integrated a theme of accessibility throughout our whole process. Our process is based around the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. Our process is as follows:

  • Design – From the beginning of our creative process, we keep accessibility in mind. Ensuring that the UI and UX are accessible is the starting point throughout our whole website. With leadership oversight, the accessibility is built directly into the design.
  • Review – All content is reviewed meticulously, and this includes accessibility. If any issues arise, editors consult with the leadership team to remedy any potential accessibility problem.
  • Correction – Accessibility remediation is a top priority on the list of resolutions that are necessary to address. If need be, our team will collaborate with industry consultants to verify our actions.
