July’s Top Performing Establishments in Pennsylvania
Slot machines, fantasy sports, online gambling, sports betting, table games, and video gaming terminals are some of the gaming income sources that the Board regulates. With $56.3 million in revenue during the month of July, Parx Casino came in first among gaming establishments, representing a nearly 12% decrease from the same period last year.
The top five were completed by Rivers Casino Philadelphia ($43.3 million), Valley Forge Casino Resort ($41.3 million), Hollywood Casino at Penn National ($55.7 million), and Wind Creek Bethlehem ($50 million). Valley Forge had the largest revenue growth at 17.1%, then came Wind Creek (13.9%) and Hollywood Casino (4%).

The Board also released a breakdown of income by game type year over year. The largest portion of total income ($213.9 million), which is down 4% from July 2014, came from retail slots. While iGaming slots reported $71.9 million in revenue, an increase of 13.7% year over year, table revenue remained at nearly the same level of $88.6 million.
With $25.4 million in revenue in July, sports betting showed considerable growth over the same month in 2021 (+28.1%). While VGTs revenue fell by 3.7% to $3.6 million and iGaming poker revenue increased by 6.5% to $2.7 million, iGaming tables experienced an increase of 4.5% to $23.8 million. However, the amount spent on fantasy competitions went down significantly, by 45.3%, to $858,569.
The top spot for retail table games went to Wind Creek Bethlehem with $23.6 million in revenue, an increase of 41.9%, while Parx Casino dominated retail slots despite a 12.6% revenue decline to $33.6 million. Hollywood Casino at Penn National topped all online gaming income (iGaming slots, poker, and table games), accounting for $38.5 million of the $98.5 million in statewide earnings.
Sports Betting Market of Pennsylvania
With $125.9 million in the handle and $12.1 million in revenue, Valley Forge Casino Resort led the sports betting market. Hollywood Casino at the Meadows ($76.7 million handle) and Hollywood Casino at Penn National ($21.2 million handle) made up the top 3, with a combined monthly handle of $336.5 million for the whole state.
