Destiny 2 is a continuation of the well-known series of Destiny and Halo games – where the player will have to choose their game class and advance in the universe of the distant future, simultaneously exterminating monsters and aliens that invaded from space, studying the history of the planets and the world and getting to know key characters from past game series.
In February 2023, the world will see a new update for Destiny 2 – Lightfall, so the guide will focus on this update. You can prepare for it already now – by accumulating equipment from mystic + raids and reaching the maximum level. You can do it yourself or order the destiny 2 service for leveling, or learning the game, to be as ready for the update as possible.
Classes and optimal subclass
- Titanium and lightning
- Warlock and the Void
- The hunter and the sun
- The Stand is a new subclass from the upcoming Lightfall update.

Titanium and lightning
The Titan is a mixture of an armored warrior and a gunslinger whose main task is to protect the group. The character can use a protective shield that will block all incoming damage along the line, but be careful – you can miss the damage from a grenade if it is thrown from the side or from the back, or attacks from the rear, or flanks.
The lightning subclass will help turn the titan into a semi-DD class – now, he will be able to use lightning on targets that come too close.
Warlock and the Void
Warlock is a marksman who is able to use magic for the benefit of the group or the destruction of the enemy. Warlock uses special wells, within the radius of which allies will receive healing and blessing with increased characteristics. Massive damage will fall upon enemies, which, when combined with a good tank, will be fatal for many opponents.
The Void subclass allows you to significantly expand the offensive potential of the warlock and strengthen all offensive skills.
The Warlock is especially effective in PVP and dungeons due to the ability to both help his own and destroy the enemy.
The hunter and the sun
The hunter is a ranged shooter and a melee dagger at the same time. The hunter’s strength is sufficient to take down enemies and bosses on his own, but he needs the support of the group to survive. Uses precision fire, traps, and decoys, and even uses smoke to keep enemies from getting close. If the opponent comes too close, then dangerous and sharp daggers are included in the battle.
The sun subclass will allow you to concentrate strong energy for a special powerful shot that will ignore armor and is especially effective against bosses and guardians.
Stand – a new subclass connected with ropes will have a characteristic green glow.
- The Titan will have the ability to inflict bleed from melee hits as steel fists will be equipped with daggers.
- The Warlock will be able to apply the shrapnel effect, scattering multiple projectiles at multiple targets.
- The hunter will use the rope to alternate between melee and ranged attacks with a special ritual blade.
PVP and mechanics
In Destiny 2, PvP seasons regularly take place, as a result of which players receive a unique weapon indicated at the beginning of the event.
You have to participate in game rounds, where the winner accumulates a series of winnings, and only at a certain status will you be able to earn rewards.
When you lose, everything starts all over again, so you should always keep a cool head.
There is no particular class that would have a clear advantage.
The hunter is strong against the warlock but may simply not penetrate the armor of the titan; the warlock will defeat the titan with magic but may lose to the hunter when the titan defeats the hunter.
But this is all purely formal – the balance of Destiny 2 is designed in such a way that weapons and armor affect the strength of the class, and potentially each class can emerge victorious from the battle – it is only important to use the strengths of the class.
Titan – blocking damage due to shielding. Choose parts of the map where you can provide yourself with all-around defense and hold the charge for as long as it takes to quickly shoot or get close to the target. Beware of the grenade, it will easily fly over the shield or knock you down, and its damage will be enough to knock you down.
Warlock – use your advantage – the average distance and the ability to replenish your health. Actively use grenades to distract targets or break through health and stun.
The hunter is strong at long distances, and although he is able to hit targets with daggers in close combat, it is worth using this tool only in extreme cases and only when necessary. Always keep your distance and shoot targets from a safe distance.
