Riyadh Masters 2023: Team Spirit Leaves with $5,000,000!

The end of July was brightened by the beautiful eSports event: Riyadh Masters 2023. Not less bright was the victory we had the joy of watching: Team Spirit decimated Team Liquid in the Grand Final, winning 3:1.

The show was a delight: a prize pool of a whopping $15,000,000 promised a hellish battle, and the teams provided. And while we are happy for those who could watch it first-hand at Boulevard Riyadh City, we are also glad that cybersports fans around the world could enjoy the tournament, and the bettors could savor both thrill and profits. If the former has live streams to thank, the latter owes it to bookmakers.

Did you know that wherever you were in the world, with the right platform, you can bet on whatever happens on the other side of the globe? For example, all that Dota 2 fans from Canada needed to do to support Team Spirit with their wager was to find a reputable bookmaker. And GGBet is here to deliver. Providing pre-match and live betting, reasonable odds, easy money withdrawal, and a variety of payment options, GGBet is a heavenly hub for eSports bettors from all over the world.

Congratulations to the happy winners who leave the event with millions and their devoted fans! Let us take an opportunity to cherish the happy faces of people who beat 19 top-notch teams and won their great prizes, all while we are reviewing the tournament.

Riyadh Masters 2023: Organization

Traditionally for major eSports competitions that take place in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh Masters’ venue was Boulevard Riyadh City – a 220-acre (89 ha) commercial and entertainment complex.

The event is arranged by The Saudi Arabian Federation for Electronic and Intellectual Sports (SAFEIS) and Electronic Sports League (ESL). It attracted a lot of powerful sponsors, including such companies as:

  • Abdul Latif Jameel Motors
  • Adidas
  • Aramco
  • Cenomi
  • Doritos
  • Honor
  • Hilton
  • KFC
  • LG
  • Mastercard
  • OSN
  • Pepsi Zero
  • Razer
  • Savvy Games Group
  • Spotify
  • The Saudi Investment Bank, etc.

Faisal bin Homran, Chief Esports Officer at the Saudi Esports Federation, referred to the tournament as a special moment in Saudi Arabian gaming history.

Prize Pool

Riyadh Masters does not belong to the Dota Pro Circuit series, but do not let yourself be fooled: stakes here are equally high. Let us take a quick look at what the teams were here for!

As mentioned previously, the total prize pool is a magnificent $15,000,000 distributed between the players as follows:

  • 1st place: the winners leave with $5,000,000;
  • 2nd place: $2,500,000;
  • 3rd place: $1,700,000;
  • 4th place: $1,200,000;
  • 5th-6th place: $800,000;
  • 7th-8th place: $500,000;
  • 9th-12th place: $300,000;
  • 13th-14th place: $200,000;
  • 15th-16th place: $100,000;
  • 17th-20th $50,000.

As you can see, not getting the golden medal or even getting into the top three may be frustrating, but it still is very lucrative! We believe that Team Liquid, Talon Esports, and Gaimin Gladiators, who got the silver, bronze, and the 4th seat, respectively, may be sad, but it is a hell of an achievement in terms of both prestige and money.
