So, if you’re ready to find out just what some of the Bingo words and phrases you’ve seen online really mean, scroll down to discover more.
Auto Daub
You may have seen on many Bingo sites there’s a button or setting called auto daub, which reduces the manual player input required in a game. When switched on, the auto daub will daub away any numbers called in the game, so you don’t miss a number.
This setting is good for beginners, so you can get your head around what’s happening and how the game is played whilst also not missing a single number.
You just need to remember to press the ‘CLAIM’ button when you’ve made a line or a full house first.
Bingo Calls
Bingo is known for its Bingo calls for every number played within a game of Bingo, whether a 90 or 75 ball game. The calls are used to differentiate between numbers, as some may sound similar when called.
Many calls use things such as pop culture or history relating to the country where it’s being played. This helps the call stay current, interesting, and also memorable.
Chat Lingo
You may have noticed that when playing online, there is a chat option that allows you to interact with other players taking part in the same game as you. However, when looking at the chat, you may have noticed some chat lingo you might not have understood.
For example, ‘1tg’ means ‘one number left to go.’ ‘GL’ means ‘good luck,’ and ‘TCFN ’stands for ‘take care for now.’
Double Bingo
If playing a game of 75 ball Bingo, and you’ve achieved two lines in a game – either horizontal, vertical, or diagonal – two lines created equals what’s known as a double Bingo.
Early Bird Game
Many Bingo halls up and down the country call the first game of the session an early bird game. Those that play online have also coined the first game of the session, an early bird session, to keep the tradition alive.
Full House
If you manage to daub off all your numbers before anyone else plays along – you’ve daubed your way to a full house!
While you’re able to compete to get the first line or two lines, it’s a full house that holds the biggest reward. Plus, if that wasn’t enough, if playing in person, you get to shout “HOUSE!” to let everyone know you’ve won. However, there’s nothing in the rules that says you can’t shout “HOUSE!” when playing at home online!
Now you know a little more about some of the words and phrases you could potentially see and hear when playing a game or two of online Bingo, there’s only one question left to ask – Are you ready to get daubing?
