Kingdom Come Console Commands

The beauty of gaming on PC is how you have full control of your gaming experience. Not just on a superficial level but on a deep gameplay level too. Kingdom Come: Deliverance is one of the biggest sleeper hits of 2020. While it probably won’t win any ‘game of the year’ awards, it already has a cult following. Back in 2018, it was already expected to be one of the most impressive upcoming games.

This can be attributed to its challenging gameplay and robust story and immersion. It’s a game whose success in requires that the player not just level up their character but his/her own actual combat abilities. It comes with a tough learning curve and you actually have to master the gameplay before you can truly get the most out of it. This gives gamers a more rich, immersive and rewarding experience.

Thanks to the popularity of games like Dark Souls, games where the difficulty level is set to hard by default are becoming more and more frequent. While Kingdom Come is no Souls game, some players may need a little help with it. That’s why your good friends at Game Gavel decided to compile a list of all the known console commands for Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance Console Commands

Most of these console commands are cosmetic. They won’t drastically change the difficulty or make things too easy but they will give you full control of your field of view.

Kingdom Come Deliverance

One of the biggest complaints about Kingdom Come is how resource taxing it is. It will give a high-end graphics card a good run for its money. Some of the commands here will help you lessen the toll on your system and get better performance out of the game.

We’d also like to advise that you exercise a bit of discretion while using them. Some may not work for your system, some may crash the game or crash your computer entirely.

Kingdom Come Commands for General Settings

The following is a list of all known Kingdom Come: Deliverance console commands. With each command, we’ll go through how it works and what the point of it is. They’ll help you tweak and modify the general settings.

In order to bring up the console and start typing in a command, all you have to do is press the tilde (`) key. The console can be summoned at any point in the game. However, it’s best if you go into the inventory menu before you bring the console up, lest you get attacked while trying to enter in your commands.

Once you press the tilde key, you’ll see the console with a bunch of writing drop down from the top of the screen. Once it’s ready, you can enter in any of the following commands.

Turn on/off bow crosshairs

Command: wh_pl_showfirecursor
Flag/Input: 1 = ON, 0 = OFF

Hitting things with a ranged weapon can be a bit difficult. This command makes it a little easier. It activates a reticule which makes it feel like you’re sniping with your bow. To turn it on type wh_pl_showfirecursor 1. To turn it off, replace the ‘1’ with a ‘0’ (wh_pl_showfirecursor 0).

Turn off/on HUD

Command: g_showHUD
Flag/Input: 1 = ON, 0 = OFF

If you want to take screenshots of the surrounding environment in Kingdom Come, it would be better to take them without the HUD. It can be an eyesore. To hide the HUD completely, all you need to do is type g_showHUD 0. To display the HUD, just replace the ‘0’ with a ‘1’ (g_showHUD 1).

Turn off/on Compass

Command:  wh_ui_showCompass
Flag/Input: 1 = ON, 0 = OFF

If you want to get lost in the game or you just find that the compass provides no real help, you can turn it off using this command. wh_ui_showCompass 0 will hide the compass. If you want to turn it back on, replace the ‘0’ with a ‘1’ (wh_ui_showCompass 1).

Change Field of View (FOV)

Command: cl_fov X
Flag/Input: Any number you want

Kingdom Come allows you to change your FOV range to either 60, 65, 70 or 75 in the FOV section of the menu. However, using this command will allow you to change the FOV to whatever you want and you’ll be able to witness the changes instantaneously. To use the command type in cl_fov X. Replace the ‘X’ with any number of your choosing e.g. cl_fov 63.

Quit to Desktop (Without Saving)

Command: q
Flag/Input: None

If you find yourself frustrated with the game and alt+f4 just isn’t enough, you can quit the game, no questions asked, by using this command. Just type ‘q’ in the console and the game will close immediately.

Change View Distance

Command: e_ViewDistRatio X
Flag/Input: Replace X with any value you want

This basically allows you to change the draw distance. If you’re unfamiliar with draw distance, it’s also known as render distance or view distance. It’s basically the maximum distance of objects that can be or should be rendered/drawn by the engine. By default, the draw distance is set to 500.

You can use this command to change the draw distance. All you need to do is type e_ViewDistRatio X. Replace X with your own desired value e.g. e_ViewDistRatio 400.

Change View Distance for Plants Only

Command: e_ViewDistRatioVegetation X
Flag/Input: Replace X with any value you want

This is similar to the preceding command but it’s exclusive to distant plants, trees and other vegetation in the game. To activate the command, all you need to do is type in e_ViewDistRatioVegetation X. Replace the X with any number of your own choosing e.g. e_ViewDistRatioVegetation 450. The default value is 500.

Kingdom Come Deliverance horses

Change View Distance for Animated Grass

Command: e_MergedMeshesInstanceDist X
Flag/Input: Replace X with any value you want

This command lets you modify the render/draw distance for animated grass and close shrubbery. The default value is 20. To modify it, all you need to do is type in the command: e_MergedMeshesInstanceDist X. Replace X with any value of your own choosing e.g. e_MergedMeshesInstanceDist 50.

Change Motion Blur

Command: r_MotionBlur X
Flag/Input: 0 = OFF, 1 = Camera only, 2 = Default

Ever turned around too fast and experienced real-life motion blur. While you can’t turn it off in real life, you can turn it off in Kingdom Come. To turn it off simply type in r_MotionBlur 0. To turn it on for only the camera, type in r_MotionBlur 1. To turn it on and set it back to default, type in r_MotionBlur 2.

Change Gravity

Command: p_gravity_z X
Flag/Input: Replace x with any value you want

This command will allow you to change the intensity of the gravity in the game. In theory, if you set it right, you should be able to bounce around like you’re on the moon. To modify the gravity setting, type in p_gravity_z X. Replace X with a number of your choosing e.g. p_gravity_z 20. -13 is the default setting.

Kingdom Come Deliverance combat

Turn off/On V-Sync

Command: r_vsync
Flag/Input: 0 = OFF, 1 = ON

If you want to boost your frame rate, the best way is to turn off vsync. If you’re unfamiliar with vsync, it’s short for vertical sync. It basically synchronizes a games frame rate with the monitor refresh rate. Often, this slows down your frame rates, particularly on older graphics cards and monitors. To turn off vsync, type in r_vsync 0. To turn it back on, type in r_vsync 1.

Most gamers have reported that they haven’t been able to see a real difference when switching Vsync on and off. This doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t try.

Display Time of Day

Command: e_TimeOfDay
Flag/Input: None

If you want to see the current time of day or night, all you need to do is type the e_TimeOfDay into the console.

Change the Model Scale

Command: t_scale X
Flag/Input: X = any value between 0 and 11

This command allows you to change the in-game object model scale. The default value is 1. You can change it by keying in the command along with a number of your choosing that is between 0 and 11 i.e. t_scale 5.

Kingdom Come Deliverance after the battle

Enable/Disable Subtitles

Command: wh_dlg_chatbubbles X
Flag/Info: 0 = OFF, 1 = ON

I’m a subtitle guy myself, even though I prefer dubs over subs when it comes to anime. This command allows you to switch the subtitles on and off in the game. To switch them on, type in wh_dlg_chatbubbles 1. To switch them off, just replace the 1 with a 0 i.e. wh_dlg_chatbubbles 0.

Enable/Disable Health Bar
Command: wh_ui_showHealthbar X
Flag/Info: 0 = OFF, 1 = ON

Sometimes you may find your health bar a little distracting. If you want to increase the difficulty a bit, you can simply hide it and guess how close to death you are. To hide the health bar, type in wh_ui_showHealthbar 0. If you want to display it once again, type in wh_ui_showHealthbar 1.

Kingdom Come Cheat Codes

The beta and alpha versions of Kingdom Come: Deliverance had more console commands and cheat codes to make it easier to test and modify the game. Warhorse Studios released the final version and rendered most of the cheat codes and some of the console commands useless.

Just in case, they patch the game or you have a modded or beta version of the game, we thought it would be useful to list some of the cheat codes. You enter the cheat codes the same way you input the console commands (`).

Add Money

Command: Wh_cheat_money X
Flag/Input: X = the amount of money you’d like to add

This cheat will simply make you a rich man in the game. All you have to do is enter in this command along with the amount of Groschen you want i.e. Wh_cheat_money 10000.

Add Item

Command: wh_cheat_addItem X #
Flag/Input: X = item ID, #Number/Amount of that item

This cheat/command allows you to add any item into your inventory. While entering the number of items isn’t mandatory, entering the item ID is. Before entering the item ID, you have to know what possible ID combinations exist.

For instance, typing in the following command: ‘wh_cheat_addItem ad443031-370e-4a63-ba12-ee3fc4c338a8’ will give you the Carpenter’s axe. Typing in the following command: ‘wh_cheat_addItem 2bf46965-a851-4602-8282-cbefe7f24945 2’ will give you two Raven feathers.

Just so you don’t have to fly around blindly, we’ll give you a quick list of some item IDs you can test out and play around with. The following list contains the item ID followed by the name.
